Legal duties
Employers, public authorities and workplace organizations have a duty to work actively, in a targeted, planned manner to promote equality and prevent discrimination (duty to promote equality).
The law forbids discrimination in the workplace on the basis of gender, ethnicity, disability, language, religion, sexual orientation and age. The ban on discrimination on the basis of gender, ethnicity and ability to function applies to all social areas. If you are wondering what your legal duties are, contact the Ombud.
